Whether you view the original "Leon" or the American version "The Professional", you will be in for a rare treat. In lesser hands, this could easily have been nothing more than a reasonably good action movie, or worse yet, an exploitation film taking advantage of a highly taboo piece of subject matter, and that being pedophilia.
